Impactiv8 was established in 2011 and since then we’ve developed a reputation for ourselves as being at the cutting edge of social media and online marketing. That's because we are continually researching, testing and learning the best social media and online marketing strategies, tips and tools and sharing that information with our clients, subscribers and social media followers.
In a nutshell, Impactiv8 helps businesses leverage the power of social media and online marketing to generate more fans, leads, customers and sales. We achieve this via our online training programs, workshops, bespoke presentations, one-on-one coaching, consultation and implementation services.
We currently have a lean team, with one full-time time team member (that's me), two part-time employees (Teresa and Sam), several contractors and we sometimes also have student interns.

My name is Loren Bartley.
I am a Digital Strategist, Social Media Trainer, Facebook Advertising Specialist and Infusionsoft Certified Consultant, amongst various other things. ;)
I am the Founder of Impactiv8 and the main person you will be working with and reporting to if you get the job.
I am a full on #BusinessAddict and usually fill my working hours creating training resources and programs, presenting workshops, speaking at conferences, developing and implementing online marketing strategies for businesses, providing social media coaching, podcasting and blogging.
I am an early adopter, self-confessed geek, gym lover and mother of three. I am a lifelong learner and get my education fix these days by attending conferences, doing online training programs, watching webinars and listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I also like to make greeting cards in my spare time, but I don't seem to have much of that these days. I'm in the process of working on that!

You will be responsible for your own projects and client work, as well as assigned additional tasks, but you won't be micro-managed! Instead, you will be given the freedom to get the work done, with the ability to call on support as required.
This is not a 9-5, stuck-in-a-cubicle kind of job and we're not looking for a 9-5er. In fact, everyone at Impactiv8 works odd hours - it just suits us better!
Yes, you will have a set number of hours that you are expected to complete each week and there will also be some core contact hours where we will work closely together as a team on projects, but those times will change from week-to-week based on my commitments. For example, some days I will be out of the office presenting a workshop or I may need some peace and quiet to record an interview, so on those days we may agree that it's best that you work independently or you may choose to use those days to help with your kids cooking class at school or catch your favourite yoga class and then complete your work of an evening instead.
We also have some clients in America, so some late nights or super early mornings will happen if you are working with any of them, but that will be your choice.
As a parent, I also don't expect us to be working together much during the school holidays. During the school holidays I schedule my working days so that I can get my work done around my family commitments and expect the same of my team members (unless they are on holidays themselves of course).
We're flexible, as long as you get the work done on time, within budget and to our usual high standards. :)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a Facebook Ads Ninja to become a valued member of our team.
If you have experience managing complex Facebook Ads, great copywriting skills, an eye for creating engaging visuals and are a complete data geek, then you are the kind of person we are looking for.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, a passion for analytics and excellent attention to detail is crucial. So too is a love of learning. You have to love learning how to use new software and not be one of those people who get frustrated when things change. We operate in a fast-moving environment and you need to be able to keep up. If I can promise you one thing now, it's that things are going to change!
You will need to be a super organised smart-worker, who can juggle multiple client demands and projects at once, whilst still remaining focused on the task at hand. This includes being able to best manage your time so that you don't miss deadlines or compromise your high work standards. You will also need to be a problem solver, who can think ahead to ensure any potential challenges don’t greatly impact progress or outcomes.
You will be able to work effectively whether it be collaborating on projects with other people or working on your own.
You must be cheerful, enthusiastic and confident. Your role will include speaking to clients and you must have the confidence to be able to provide strategic advice, coaching and support, as well as be able to sell our products and services and not be too scared to ask our clients (nicely) to pay their bills!
In the early days of the role you will mainly be delegated tasks to complete, but as you learn and start to demonstrate your expertise and initiative you will be assigned your own clients and projects to manage and we will grow the role in a way that best utilises your strengths and passions. We ultimately want to build this role around you!
Being part of a small team means there are times when it's all hands-on deck. You’ll need to jump on in to get things done that don’t necessarily fall under your “job description”. A can-do, everything has a solution attitude, is a must!
You must also be able to handle, direct and straight-forward feedback and we would expect you to be able to give the same.
I have high expectations for the person taking on this role. If you’re the right person for the job, then this will excite and motivate you!
LOGISTICS OF THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who is available to commit a minimum of 10 hours a week to the role initially, with capacity to commit more hours as the role grows. But be prepared that it may grow quickly!
You will be required to spend at least 4hrs a week working together with me (in my home office in Point Cook), with those hours being flexible from week-to-week and the remainder of your hours being spent working independently.
You must be available to start early to in August 2017 for an initial 3-month probation period as a "casual" employee. This should give us both enough time to see if we are a good fit for each other and then we can plan a more permanent solution, which may involve more hours.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY
You will need to have (or be able to develop) a wide variety of skill sets, as your responsibilities will be wide and varied depending on what projects you are involved in over time. Some of the things you will be able to enjoy in this role will include, but are not limited to:
Sratetgically plan Facebook Ad campaigns that funnel cold audiences through to customers
Creating, monitoring and revising Facebook Ads for Impactiv8 and our clients
Creating engaging visuals and persuasive copy for use in advertising campaigns, as well as organic content
Managing adertising budgets from $100-$20,000+
Sourcing, creating and scheduling content to share on social media for Impactiv8 and our clients
Monitoring social media platforms and engaging in discussions on behalf of Impactiv8 and our clients
Providing coaching support to clients
Working on events and product launches
Promoting Impactiv8 products and services
Responding to enquiries and closing sales
You will keep record of the progress of your work using Asana, as well as other project specific tools as appropriate. You and I will be meeting regularly to make sure things are moving forward and to allow me mentor you in your development, as well as help remove any roadblocks in your way. When we are not together we will communicate via Voxer (I hate email).
THE TOOLS YOU WILL BE USING
We use loads of different tools at Impactiv8, both internally and for our clients. They include, but are not limited to:
Facebook Advertising tools (Ads Manager, Power Editor and Business Manager)
Social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc)
File sharing tools (Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, etc)
Accounting and online payment tools (e.g. Xero, PayPal, Stripe, etc)
Integration and automation tools (e.g. Zappier, IFTTT, etc)
URL shortening tools (e.g. Bit.ly)
You will be provided with access to these tools and more. You are not expected to know how to use all these tools, but you must be competent in the use of some and have the ability to jump into any software system and figure it out (with some guidance from us of course).
WHO THIS JOB ISN'T FOR
Do not apply if you want to be an entrepreneur and run your own business. We are looking for an “intrapreneur”. You’ll have the freedom and flexibility to love what you do and be the best at your role, but if you have plans to run your own company in the near future, then we are not for you.
Do not apply if you want a 9-5, Monday to Friday job. This is not for someone who lives for the weekends and dreads "going back to work.” Your work should energise you, not zap the life out of you.
