There are several reasons why you may wish to request a copy of your Facebook Data. One of them is if you inadvertently set up a Facebook Profile for your business rather than a Facebook Page and then you later want to convert it to a Page, you will first need to export your data to ensure you don’t loose anything, as whilst the friends will be converted to fans, none of the other content you have shared on your profile will remain on the new Page that you set up.
How To Download A Copy Of Your Facebook Data
The first thing you need to do is to click on the settings icon in the top right hand corner of the Page and select “Account Settings”. That will take you to “General Account Settings” where you can request to “Download a copy” of your Facebook data.
You will then be prompted to “Start My Archive”.
You then request your download.
You will get a confirmation of your Facebook data download request.
Once the data is compiled, you will be sent an email with a link to download your Facebook data. For security reasons, you can only download the data within a few days of receiving this confirmation email, so make sure that you download it ASAP, otherwise you will need to request your Facebook data again.
